We all know that you can purchase hard copy lists with the names and phone numbers of potential sales targets online, and separated into niches to make things more simple. But how do you know where to find them? Luckily, it doesn’t take much to track down the websites that will offer these leads, even if you are one of the unfortunately Internet-illiterate.

Start out using a simple search engine. Google, Bing, anything will work well enough. Use a collection of key phrases that will direct you to exactly what you are wanting, while eliminating what you don’t. For instance, put in something like ‘credit repair travel leads‘, which will filter out other types of lists that are unrelated to what you are selling.

Next, compare websites. Your results will bring up many reliable companies, but they will also give you a few scams. Make sure that anyone you are buying from offers hard copy, or handwritten, content. It should say something like hardcopy magazine leads on the homepage.  If it doesn’t specify you can contact their customer service. Never buy anything that is computer generated, as they have likely sold the same list to others.

Finally, do a quick check up to make sure that they haven’t been repeatedly reported for fraud, or shady business practices. You can use sites like the BBB, Ripoff Report, or even forums and websites dedicated to people who work within the telemarketing or sales industries. Often sites like this will have a lost of companies to look out for, from those who have had the misfortune of being taken in before.
