People have been increasing the types of activities they do on their computers, and the digital age has really taken over in the world of photography. But what happens when you have an image you love, but it’s in a format that is incompatible with whatever it is you need it for?
While most sites and programs will take .jpg, .bmp, or .gif images, there are times when you need something like .tga, or .png. That will require some kind of conversion program, which you can luckily find easily enough online.
Some websites, such as Myspace, will already have a basic file converter built into your upload page that you can use. But you can also find a converter using a simple Google search, which will allow you to pick and choose whatever you like. Some have to be downloaded, but usually take up very little space. If you would prefer not to download anything, you can add ‘online’ to the search terms and use one that is built into a page.
These programs are usually free, easy to use, and available for a number of image conversions. They also will sometimes come with editing tools that you can use to change or clean up your picture.
